Mission Statement

Due to the harsh austerity measures placed upon the people of Greece and the subsequent Capital Controls, the Greek citizens are struggling to cope while businesses which deal with international transactions have come to a stand-still. It is the aim of the PFG (Peoples Fund for Greece) program to help these businesses keep afloat and prosper despite the adverse conditions. At the same time PFG aims to improve the Greek GDP by providing quality food & drink products and tourism services to people abroad.

What is this about?

Political instability, unfair taxation system, economical chaos, financial dead end and constant pounding with negativity from the media have driven more than 10,000 people in Greece to suicide just in the recent years and the figure is constantly rising while masses of others immigrate to foreign lands! We are witnessing a severe change in civilization where numbers, politics and banks matter more than human life, rights and dignity. Capital controls and no prospects for the foreseeable future have brought Greece to a standstill with most businesses on the edge of extinction.

PFG is a program designed to support producers and suppliers of quality food & drink Greek products with main focus the export as well as develop and support tourism services. PFG aims to help keep businesses running and employ people, while at the same time do it in a way to positively influence the Greek GDP in order for the country to afford its financial commitments and reach sooner the path of recovery.

We shall use any amount we raise to its full potential but we propose an initial target of £850,000 to provide enough momentum for an immediate positive impact.

PFG will be based in the UK and the fund will be used to create an infrastructure to assist the Greek beneficiaries in development, expansion, marketing, distribution and retail in various foreign markets in order to create self-sustained profits. Part of the fund will also be used for the purchase and delivery of your perks to local retail points.

How is this special?

The special advantage of PFG lies on the fact that it is a 2-way long term investment promise and continuous relationship between contributors and suppliers. Most importantly its ultimate goal is to generate profits from the supply of quality goods and services which will be directly invested back into the program to further expand its benefits in as many businesses and aspects of the Greek economy as possible.

Challenges

We anticipate contributors from around the world, so organising the distribution network and retail points will be a huge challenge by itself. However, we shall do our best to fulfil our promise as soon as possible and will keep you up to date with our progress. It is worth noticing that the more people we have to serve in each area, the easier and more cost effective it will be, so please share our campaign with your local groups.

In order to guarantee a quality service on competitive prices we have limited the delivery of some of your perks to a specific set of countries. If your country is not listed, please register your interest and contribute by selecting one of the perks which are available Worldwide. If we get enough interest for a non-listed country we shall look into it.

• Contributors in the UK should expect their perks in good time well before Christmas while deliveries to other European countries and other continents may take longer. More information about delivery dates in due course.
• Where a local collection point cannot be organised, a postal surcharge may be requested before the delivery of the goods.

- Can I buy more than one perks?

Yes, you can and please do! :)

- Can I buy a perk as present for a friend?

Yes, you can! Most of the perks are designed to be great gift ideas.

- I got an idea for a perk I don't see listed. Would you consider it?

Yes, we shall! If you have an idea for a perk we have not thought about please do get in touch and let us know about it.

- I like a perk but it is not available in my country. How do I get it?

Due to transport restrictions for heavy items containing liquids and glass, some of the perks are not available at the start of the campaign outside of the UK. If you would like that particular perk, just get in touch and we shall investigate the possibility of posting to your country.

- Where is the PFG product list?

There is no set product list yet. However, you should expect to see popular Greek food & drink products like olive oil, ouzo, olives, oregano, honey etc. to name a few. As more products are added on the list they will get published on our website and social media accounts.

If there is a particular product you would like to see in a store near you let us know and we shall do our best to find a good producer and trial it out in your area.

- Will I be able to buy PFG food & drink products after the end of the campaign?

Yes. We aim to setup a continuous supply of great products near all areas with PFG contributors with the collaboration of local deli and other food stores. Isolated contributors in remote areas may still be able to purchase PFG products through an online delivery service.

- Is the price for the Olive Tours and Holidays perks inclusive of my air fares?

As we really do not know where everyone will be travelling from, it is unrealistic to have a price inclusive of air fares. Hence, the price for the tourist perks does not include your air tickets and you should make your own travelling arrangements. Nevertheless, PFG shall provide all the necessary guidance to help you get to your destination easy and affordable.

- Does the perk price include delivery?

The price on the Postcard and Voucher perks are inclusive of the delivery.

In order to keep expenses to a minimum, delivery of the product perks like Golden PFG will be attempted to be delivered for collection to a local store which will stock PFG products. For cases where this will not be possible, you may be required to pay a small postal fee to have the goods delivered at your registered address.

- Why do you need my address for the PFG Life Membership?

All the perks which include the PFG Life Membership require your address. This is necessary in order for us to start working on finding suitable local retail points in your area which are willing to stock PFG products.
